Molly Moon Ice Cream II to open in Pike/Pine

We heard a rumor that Capitol Hill was the first choice for Molly Moon Ice Cream's first shop. Instead, it ended up in Wallingford. Now, Urbnlivn blog has the scoop that Molly finally has a Capitol Hill home lined up:

 

Just the other day I was bemoaning the fact that there wasn’t an ice cream shop close to home on Capitol Hill. Well, low and behold, the Pike-Pine Corridor is going to be getting a Molly Moon Ice Cream in OddFellows Hall a few months from now!

Molly Moon will join the Linda Derschang-Volunteer Park Cafe joint venture scheduled to open in the Oddfellows building by early 2009.

I can't even tell you how happy this makes me! I've been bemoaning the lack of REAL ice cream here all summer. Yay!

Welcome, but needs work
I too am thrilled to finally have ice cream on Pike Pine. Similar to when I lived near Top Pot, I will have to establish a personal ration system so that I don't pack on too many pounds.
I do think Molly needs to work on her moon recipes a little. most of her more creative flavors are either overpowering, bland, or just not great.
